Spent xmas weekend here and had a great time! The new addition was amazing, with comfortable beds and clean rooms. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, situated in a quaint town with an awesome ice cream shop just up the street. Another advantage was having a laundry room in the facility, which was convenient and saved us from having to find a laundromat.
While the positive aspects were great, there were a few negatives to mention. The old building needs some serious renovation - the doors and locks are in desperate need of replacement, and the lighting in the room was quite poor.

The hotel's value for money was impressive, especially considering the prices were very reasonable. The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for our backroad Illinois motorcycle trip, with plenty of scenic routes to explore. The basic amenities were all provided, and the rooms were immaculate, thanks to their attention to detail.
One aspect that could be improved was the breakfast selection, as some guests mentioned that it was average and they wished there had been some fresh fruit available.

The complementary hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch and helped to warm us up after a long day of exploring. The location was right in the heart of the town and made it easy to get around. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view of the snowy streets.
The walls were quite thin and we could hear our noisy neighbors at times. Additionally, the breakfast selection was quite limited and didn't have many options for those with dietary restrictions.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a small town in Illinois. Firstly, the value for money was excellent – the prices were very reasonable and gave us a perfect option for our backroad motorcycle trip. Secondly, the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful – they even gave us a room right near the west entrance, which was very convenient. Lastly, the basic amenities were spot on – the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread was great.
All was just fine and dandy at this hotel.
